Formation Architects secured planning permission for this complex mixed use scheme on a key site in the centre of Cambridge. The site is bounded by the University Botanic Garden at an important junction between the station and the historic core of the city. The project is currently on site.

The design proposes a series of perimeter blocks forming an internal public space at the heart of the scheme. The residential component comprises 156 apartments and mews houses of which 63 are affordable. The buildings are 5, 6 and 7 storeys in height, many with views over the Botanic Garden.

The office element is contained in a 7 storey "lens shaped" building which provides 600 sq. m (6,460 sq. ft) floorplates per floor, a size of rental space that is in great demand from the media and biotechnology sectors in Cambridge. This building commands the junction and together with urban landscape improvements will create a recognisable new place in the city.
